Darla K. Frank

August 30, 1951 - December 15, 2025

Darla Kaye Frank (Kumpf), age 74, of Spring Grove, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 15, 2025. She was born on August 30, 1951.

Darla was united in marriage to John Frank, March 20,1976 with whom she shared a life rooted in love, family, and community. She was a devoted mother to her children, Anthony (Jen), Stacy (Dean), and Travis (Amber), and nothing brought her greater joy than being a grandmother to Josh (Amber), Heather (Dexter), Chris, (Emily), Ashley (Rodney), Jonathan (Kelsey), Alissa (Evan), Henry and Ethelyn, and great-grandmother to Micah, Bronson, Carson, Landon, Jackson, Calvin, Emmett, and one on the way. Her grandchildren were truly her life, and she cherished watching them grow, especially cheering them on at sporting events.

A proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1971, Darla valued service, tradition, and giving back. She was known for her generous heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family. Family gatherings were especially meaningful to her, where laughter, stories, and togetherness filled the room.

Darla enjoyed crocheting, shopping trips with the girls, and creating memories that will be treasured forever. Above all, she will be remembered as the most sweet, loving, and generous mom, grandma, and great grandma, whose kindness touched everyone who knew her.

She lived her entire life in Spring Grove, Minnesota, where she also passed, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and selflessness that will continue for generations.

Darla is survived by her husband John, her children and great and grandchildren, nieces and nephews, brother and sister-in-laws, Aunt Ellen of Hesper, and brother Mark of Stewartville.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents (Martin and Josie), parents (Roy and Palma), stepfather (Bill), brother (Bob), mother and father-in-law (Anthony and Orion), sisters-in-law (Renee, Donna, Ruth, Deb), brother-in-law (Blackie), and aunts and uncles and cherished friend (Mary).

Darla was cremated, with a celebration of life planned for a future date.  She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
