Angela "Angie" Stone

March 21, 1958 - March 24, 2025

Angela “Angie” Stone, 67, of Stewartville, formerly of Mabel died Monday, March 24th at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Angela was born March 21, 1958 in Caledonia, Minnesota to Leroy and Janice (McCabe) Stone. She graduated from the Mabel-Canton High School with the class of 1977. Shortly after high school she moved to Rochester. She had worked at ABC and Kirby in Rochester and was very proud of the days she spent volunteering at the Rochester Public Library.

In her free time she enjoyed watching sports, listening to music and playing the tambourines in her band.  At 6:30pm every evening she would be sure to watch her favorite game show Wheel of Fortune - often calling others to make sure they would be watching as well. She loved starting her day watching Price is Right and watching the activity outside her window.  Animal movies made her laugh and she had two wonderful cats, Bella and Oreo that offered her many years of smiles and happiness.  She had an extensive DVD movie collection with a fondness for the Wizard of Oz and Elvis Presley. She truly loved connecting with people on the phone and had an amazing ability to remember people's birthdays and phone numbers. She loved a good Pepsi.

Angela is survived by her parents, Leroy and Janice of Stewartville; her brothers Tom of Rochester, Mike (Lisa) and Matt (Cathy) both of Stewartville; nieces and nephews Naysha (Clark), Bethany, Ethan, and Ryan; and great nieces and nephew Fiona, Penelope, and Charlie. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Mary; and grandparents Gene and Clara McCabe, and Lawrence and Ethel Stone.

Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Monday, March 31st at the St. Olaf Catholic Church in Mabel.  Burial will be in the St. Agnes Catholic Cemetery at Plymouth Rock. Visitation will be 9:30 – 11 a.m., Monday at the St. Olaf Catholic Church in Mabel.
