Chad A. Pierce

December 16, 1970 - September 2, 2024

On September 2nd Chad Alan Pierce, passed away at the age of 53 at his home in Spring Grove, Minnesota. He was born December 16, 1970, at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin to his proud parents Linda (Peterson) and Craig Pierce. From an early age Chad took to talking. This earned him the nickname Chatterbox. He was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove in the fall of 1986. Chad graduated from Spring Grove Public Schools in 1989. He loved his classmates and was proud to be from Spring Grove.

After graduation, Chad was fortunate to find employment which allowed him to do what he loved best: talking and being with people. He was able to stay in Southeast Minnesota, selling water purifiers. From there, Chad started a long career in manufacturing, working at Deco, Featherlite and Northern Engraving. He was at Northern Engraving for over 22 years. Most recently Chad worked as a cook at Tweeten Care Center in Spring Grove. Of all the places he was fortunate enough to work, Chad found true joy working at Tweeten. He loved talking to the residents and staff throughout the day while serving freshly made food to everyone.

Chad will forever be known for his infectious smile and laugh. He enjoyed classic cars, classic rock music and spending time with his friends and family. Chad often hosted gatherings at his house. If the music was on, that was an open invitation to stop to listen to music and have a conversation.

Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents Raymond and Marlis Pierce, Jarvis and Lorraine Peterson and his uncles Donny Garness and Tim Pierce. Chad is survived by his parents, Craig & Linda.  His sister Melissa (Jason) Schroeder, his brother Kris (Nichole) Pierce, and his 6 nieces and nephews Gavin, Samantha, Trysten, Mason, Maxwell and Eleanor.  In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his beloved aunt Joan Garness, a large extended family and his many friends, whom he loved dearly.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 12th at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove.  A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13th at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Mabel Lutheran Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life will be 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, September 13th at the American Legion in Spring Grove.
