Carrol Joseph Danielson

November 28, 1940 - January 19, 2024

Carrol J. Danielson, 83 of rural Harmony, Minnesota, followed his parents footsteps to heaven on Friday, January 19th at his home surrounded by his family. 

Carrol was born November 28, 1940 in Waukon, Iowa to Hiram and Lillie (Honsey) Danielson.  He attended schools in Rushford and Utica before graduating from Canton High School in 1958.  On October 8, 1960 he was united in marriage to Lois Hareldson at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He worked at the Preston Creamery for 43 years and after retiring, he worked 18 years for Nutrien Ag Solutions in Harmony. Over the years Carrol and Lois raised elk and pheasants.  He was a member of the Henrytown Lutheran Church, Pheasants Forever, and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.  Carrol enjoyed hunting, fishing, collecting, and restoring just about everything including lawn tractors, machinery, boats, and scooters.  He also enjoyed going on family car cruises in his Mustang.

Carrol is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lois; three children Cindy (Mark) Hebrink of Harmony, Sheila (Bob) Gossman of Lanesboro, and Jeff (Raquel) Danielson of Linton, Indiana; eight grandchildren Derek (Erin) Hebrink, Courtney (Brandon) Welke, Brandon (Cathy) Gossman, Breanna (Josh) Jensen, Ashley (Chris) Holt, Kristina (Zach) Butler, Samantha Danielson, and Freddy Rangel; twelve great grandchildren; siblings Sharon Mickelson, Gary (Deb) Danielson, Ron (Sandy) Danielson, Janet (Dean) Burdick, Julie (Glen) Jensson, Helen (Miles) Edmundson, Susie (Walter) Bradley, Lolly (Doug) Kessel, Mike Danielson; and many nieces and nephews. 

Carrol was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Mavis Dion, and a brother Dennis Danielson.

 Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at the Henrytown Lutheran Church in rural Harmony.  Visitation will be 5-7 pm Tuesday, January 23 at the Henrytown Lutheran Church and one hour prior to services at the church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
