Marilyn Flattum Myhre

March 15, 1942 - December 22, 2021

Marilyn was born March 15, 1942 in Lanesboro, Minnesota to Hans and Gilma (Rosheim) Flattum.  She attended Mabel High School. On November 26, 1960 she married Marland Myhre at the Mabel First Lutheran Church.  They lived near Tawney for a short time before moving to Racine, Wisconsin. While living in Racine, she worked at Michael’s Machine for several years.  After Marland retired in 1991, they moved to Necedah where she worked at the Kwik Trip in Mauston. Marland passed away January 30, 2016.  She was a member of the Mabel First Lutheran Church in Mabel and the Moose Lodge in Mauston. She enjoyed dogs and cats, and cooking, but especially her grandchildren.

Marilyn passed away December 22, 2021 at Tomah Health at the age of 79.

Marilyn is survived by her seven children Marcia Parr of Columbus, Ohio, Margie Parr, of Necedah, Michael (Tracy) Myhre of Necedah, Michele (Alan) Meyer of Las Vegas, Nevada, Melissa (Steven) Loging of Necedah, Marlene Myhre of Stevens Point, Wisconsin, and Melinda Myhre of Tomah;  nineteen grandchildren Jessica, Jennifer, Jonathan, Tym, Jr., Sandra, Ryan, Brandon, Matt, Nathan, Chase, Logan, Breana, Brittany, Amanda, Amy, Amber, Christopher, Marisa, and Mykala; forty-three  great grandchildren; four sisters Helen Bjerke of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, Cynthia (Charles) Peterson of Spring Grove, Linda (Art) Thorson of Stevens Point, and Debra Dahlberg of Lac Du Flambeau, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Marland; her parents, Hans and Gilma; a grandson Aaron Myhre; and two sons-in-law Tym Parr, Sr., and John Parr.

Funeral services will be 1 PM Thursday, December 30th, at the Mabel First Lutheran Church in Mabel. Burial will be in the Mabel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 7 PM Wednesday, December 29th the Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel and one hour prior to services at the church.
