Daniel Lee Delaney passed away unexpectedly on December 6th of natural causes.
Dan was born January 21st 1966 in Rochester MN. Dan Lived in several area communities until putting some roots down near Lanesboro MN. and began going to school there in the 4th grade where he graduated with the class of 1985.
Dan lived and worked in the area with several jobs until settling on working at Featherlite trailers in Cresco IA in 1991, where because of his easy-going nature, his friends and coworkers nicknamed him “Mello” a nickname he had on his cars’ customized license plates, he remained working there until his passing.
His first child Dakota Sue was Born in 1999 and his son Dylan Allen was born in 2002. He made a home in Mabel, Minnesota with his children and stepdaughter Danielle, he was married and later divorced.
Dan was preceded in death by his son Dylan and his mother Carol.
Dan is survived by his daughter Dakota, and his brothers Rick (Jeanette) Stockman, Preston, Minnesota, Don (Heidi) Banks, Rushford Minnesota, Marc (Lynette) Banks, Protivin, Iowa, Randy (Patty) Banks, Cresco, Iowa
Funeral services will be 11 AM Monday, December 13, 2021 at the St. Olaf Catholic Church in Mabel, Minnesota. Burial will be in the Mabel Public Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 – 6 p.m., Sunday at St. Olaf Catholic Church and one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials are preferred. |
