Elaine J. Rygmyr, 88, of Harmony Care Center, passed away on July 22, 2021 at Gundersen Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wisconsin.
She was born in Lanesboro on May 13th, 1933, the daughter of Martin and Petra (Blagsvedt) Johnson. She was a graduated of Lanesboro High School and spent her career at Payne Webber in Minneapolis. She married Clair E. Rygmyr on October 4th, 1969, and they resided in Bloomington, Minnesota. Upon their retirement, they travelled the world with trips to China, the Middle East, and Central and South America. Elaine was an avid crafter and gardener.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband sister Gloria Chiglo, and brother in-law Maynard Chiglo. She is survived by her nieces and nephews Katherine Moore (Bloomington, Indiana), Michael and Brenda Chiglo (Lanesboro), Steven Chiglo (Lanesboro), and Ann and Lon Fretland (Chatfield), as well as five great nieces and nephews Jerod Chiglo (St. Charles), Jenna and Dan Root (Preston), Britney, Benjamin, and Brayden Fretland (Chatfield), and three great-great nieces and nephew Palmer and Parker Root, and Tyler Chiglo.
A private family graveside will be held at Elstad Lutheran Cemetery in rural Lanesboro.
