John Allen Peterson, 79, of Preston passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Maple Leaf Home in Preston.
John was born November 9, 1941 in Spring Grove, Minnesota to Julius and Amanda (Engebretson) Peterson. As a child he lived with his parents on the farm in the Mabel area, but because he was handicapped, he had lived in Faribault and then Preston most of his life.
John is survived by two brothers Merle of Mabel, and Gary (Diane) of Northfield, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Amanda; a sister Ardis Forde; and two brothers Roger and Clifford.
A graveside service will be 11 a.m., Monday, April 19,2021 in the Garness Cemetery, rural Mabel.
