Linnett E. Williams

July 12, 1956 - March 19, 2021

Linnett was born July 12, 1956 in Spring Grove, Minnesota to Irvin and Marion (Soiney) Vickerman.  She graduated from the Spring Grove High School in 1974.  Linnett married Danny Williams and they later divorced.

Linette was known for her work ethic.  She was a dedicated, hardworking employee at the Hitching Post, Hometown Foods, and the Meadows of Mabel. The Ivy Grove was her last place of employment where she welcomed customers with her sweet smile.

Linett loved spending time with her grandchildren and would always make sure to have a baked goodie for them.  She had a very special group of lifelong friends that enjoyed going out to lunch, overnight getaways and true genuine friendship that spanned many years.

Linnett’s hobbies included flower and vegetable gardening, mowing the lawn, Ranger rides and time outdoors at the campground where friends and family enjoyed many campfires with her.  Linnett was always baking special treats to give to family and friends and loved sending greeting cards to loved ones.

Linnett passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at her home, surrounded by loved ones, after a long, courageous fight with cancer at the age of 64.

Linnett is survived by a son Heath (Heather) Williams, grandchildren Colby James, Samantha Ann, Whitney Kathleen, and Lindsey Elaine; her special friend Heath Wenthold; siblings Lois Day, Ronald Vickerman, Curtis (Lisa) Vickerman, Laurie (Al) Wendel all of Mabel; Gary (Diane) Vickerman of Canton; and several nieces and nephews.  Linnett was preceded in death by her parents Irvin and Marion Vickerman, sisters Diana Vickerman and Phyllis Waadevig; brother Paul Vickerman, brother in-laws Clifford Waadevig and Jim Day, sister-in-law Judy Vickerman and infant nieces Kari Ann Vickerman and Jodi Ann Wilhelmson.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, March 27th at the Mabel First Lutheran Church.  Lunch will follow at the Mabel American Legion where the family will join everyone for a time of celebrating Linnett’s life and sharing memories.
