Donald was born February 25, 1943 in Waukon, Iowa to Leroy and Margaret Colsch. He grew up in the Dorchester area and was a longtime machine operator at Northern Engraving in Spring Grove.
He was proud of his children, and enjoyed watching Joe compete in antique tractor pulls, listening to Bluegrass and Country music especially the Molly B Band, watching old western movies, going to auctions, going to gun shows and collecting guns, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He had a love of Dodge pickup trucks and passed that love on to his son, Joe.
Donald died Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Green Lea Senior Living in Mabel at the age of 77.
Donald is survived by his children Josephine Louise Colsch and Jonah Steven Colsch; a step-son Jack Clifford Eiken; three step-grandchildren Nadia, Nora, and Freya; and several brothers and sisters. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy “Jackie” and Margaret Colsch; and several brothers and sisters.
