Jean was born July 29, 1940 in Money Creek Township, Houston County, Minnesota to Otto and Violet (Kingsley) Marin. She attended the Vinegar Hill Country School near Houston and graduated from the Rushford High School. She lived in several place including Canton, Lanesboro, and Rushford, and had lived in Mabel for twenty years until moving to Spring Grove a year ago. She worked as a waitress in several restaurants around the area and for Rush Products in Rushford. She enjoyed going to flea markets and garage sales, sewing, and collecting dolls, books, and Santa Claus’.
Jean passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Caledonia Care and Rehab. at the age of 78.
Jean is survived by her children Doug (Tami) Marin of Canton, Billie Martino of Caledonia, and Corey Mickelson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren Chelsey Marin-Gloria, Cheyenne Autumn Powers, Dominick, Tyson Jackson Mickelson, and Cosmo Joe Mickelson; great grandchildren Caden and Juan; brothers Robert of Fountain City, Wisconsin, and Donald of Winona, Minnesota; and a sister Rose Mary (Rick) Ernster of Apple Valley, Minnesota.
A service will be held at a later date.
