June was born May 17, 1923 to Bernard and Blanche Itse in Canton where she was raised and graduated from school. She married Julian Usgaard in 1941, they later divorced. She later married Blair Oakes. June worked 27 years at the Mabel Municipal Liquor Store until retirement. She always enjoyed watching her sons play sports. She also enjoyed reading, and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
June passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Green Lea Senior Living in Mabel at the age of 95.
June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brother Truman, and sister Lila Barth, and brother in law Howard Barth.
June is survived by her sons Jerry, Davis (Sharon), and Dennis; grand children, Mike, Brian, Jason, and Kyle; and great grandchildren, Avery, Olivia, Cal, and Riley.
Memorial services will be 11 AM Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Mabel First Lutheran Church in Mabel with the Rev. Elliott Malm, officiating. Burial will be in the Mabel Lutheran Cemetery.
