Paul was born May 8, 1959 in Rochester, Minnesota to Carroll and Evelyn (Hilden) Hanson. He grew up and graduated from the Lanesboro High School in 1977. He had worked for Whalen Sand and Gravel, Norse Products, and for the last 27 years at Preston Spcialties, Inc. (PSI). Paul enjoyed fishing, playing cards, playing fast-pitch softball, following sports especially the Vikings and Twins, and his different pets.
Paul passed away Tuesday November 28 at his home following a long battle with cancer at the age of 58.
Paul is survived by his wife Diane of Lanesboro; a brother Craig (Michelle) Hanson of New Hope, Minnesota; nieces and nephews; and brothers and sisters-in-laws Greg (Shari) Qualy of Lanesboro, Brenda (Curt) Lafleur of Harmony, Minnesota, Doug (Geri) Qualy of Cresco, Iowa, Marcia (Bill) Huercamp of Canton, Lorie Kerns of Canton, and Kate (Jeff) Olson of Highland, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Loren; and brother-in-law Brian Kerns.
Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 2, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lanesboro with Rev. Kerry Eversole officiating. Burial will follow in the Lanesboro Community Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. |
