Eric was born January 28, 1956 in Harmony to Arlynn and Janice (Warber) Hanson. He grew up on the family farm in the Canton area and in 1974 graduated from the Mabel-Canton High School. He did carpentry work building houses, sheds, and garages, and then for the last 34 years worked at Rocktenn in Rochester as a printer operator. Eric enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting and fishing.
Eric passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 8, 2016 in Mabel at the age of 60.
Eric is survived by two brothers Michael of Lake City, and Loren of Rochester. He was preceded in death by his parents Arlynn and Janice, and a brother, Curtis.
Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, May 14, 2016 at the Assumption Catholic Church in Canton. Visitation will be 4 – 7 PM Friday, May 13, at the Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel and one hour prior to services at the church. |
