Dale was born October 6, 1942 in Caledonia, Minnesota to Eli and Verda (Brace)Baarsgard. He graduated from the Mabel High School in 1960. He served in the National Guard. Dale worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator in the Twin Cities and around the Mabel area. He was a member of the American Legion and the Masons. He enjoyed his antique tractors, tinkering, and fixing things.
Dale died unexpectedly Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at his home at the age of 73.
Dale is survived by a sister Diane McIntosh of Spring Grove, Minnesota, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters Vivian Reinsvoldand Jean Eiken.
Visitation will be 1 – 3 PM Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel. Private burial will be in the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak, Iowa.
