Delores was born in Owatonna, Minnesota on March 11, 1927 to Henry and Erma Gasner. Delores was an active member of Hesper Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for over 20 years.  She was also active in many women’s organizations such as the Hospital Auxiliary, 4-H, Bible Fellowships, Missionary Outreach, and Farm Bureau Extension Club.  She enjoyed playing cards, entertaining friends, reading, writing, and traveling around the world with her husband of 58 years.  They were blessed to have wonderful opportunities to travel to countries such as China, Russia, Italy, Mexico, Germany, Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Canada, France, Japan, and other destinations.  They loved showing their home travel movies to various organizations, schools, churches, and clubs.

Delores and Jim retired from farming and moved to Mission, Texas.  They enjoyed the relaxation and warm temperatures of Texas for over 20 years.  After James died in 2004, Delores moved to Castlewood, South Dakota to be closer to John and his family.  She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her family and friends.
