Hildred was born November 21, 1941 in Lanesboro, Minnesota to Karl and Gilma (Storhoff) Evenrud.  She attended the Lenora Country School and graduated in 1959 from the Canton High School.  She attended Luther College in Decorah for a year before moving to Rochester where she lived for two years until moving back to Lenora.  On September 21, 1963 she was united in marriage to Norman Nordsving at the Henrytown Lutheran Church where she was a lifelong member.  She had worked at Norse Products in Peterson for twelve years and then provided daycare for her grandsons.  She enjoyed her grandsons, bowling, and being outside taking care of the lawn and garden.

Hildred passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 31, 2008 at her home at the age of 66.

Hildred is survived by her husband Norman of Canton; two children Kristi
(Dave) Sivesind of Racine, Minnesota and Jon (Sheila) of Canton; and three grandsons Ryan, Kyle, and Lucas.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Jason.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Henrytown Lutheran Church in Canton with the Rev. Roger Knutson officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Thursday, April 3rd at the Mengis Funeral Home in Mabel and one hour prior to services at the church.
